Steel Bar Bulkhead Assembly instructions

A. Components

1. Metal Bars – 4 Pieces : Hot Rolled Square Tubes, 50mm x 50mm x 2.3mm x 2400mm

 2. Tri-wall board 2300mm x 1380mm – Heavy duty corrugated liner board

3¡¢16 cable ties – 12 centimetres long.

B. Assembly

1. Ensure container door recess to house the bars is more than 2 inches wide at both ends.
2. Place 1 bar at the bottom of the door recess within 20 centimeters of the floor.   You may find there are cross lugs in the recess and if this is within the 20 centimeters the lower bar may sit on this.  
3. Place triwall board against the inside of the bar and place 4 cable ties as shown in the picture.
4. Next place the upper bar at a height of 1.15metres to 1.27metres Again you may find the container has a cross lug in the door recess and the bar will rest on this cross lug providing it is within the above height requirement.
5. Cable tie the upper bar in place to the tri-wall board as in the picture
6. Place the middle two bars evenly spaced between the upper and lower bars and place the 4 cable ties left and right as shown.

C. Critical steps

1. Make sure the container is suitable to house the 4 bars in the door recess.
2. Make sure the lower bar is within 20 centimeters of the floor.  It you place the bar higher than this the loaded flexitank may come out below the bar preventing the door from closing.
3. The top bar must be between 1.15metres to 1.27metres from the floor, do not go higher or lower than this.
4. Use pliers or equivalent to make sure the cable ties are fully tightened.
5. Enusre the middle bars are equal distance from the top and lower bars.
6. When lining the container with currugated paper leave enough to go around the two ends as shown.
